The Author

Joe Irving was born in 1933 in Dumfries Scotland

A former Registered nurse, in Adult and Child Psychiatry, he discovered that his Psychiatric training gave him a unique perspective to gundog training. He has written several gundog training books, including, the classics and best sellers “Training Spaniels” and “Gundogs –Their Learning Chain”, his latest book “Professional Gundog Training – The Trade Secrets” also appears to be well on its way to being another “classic“.
