There are a myriad of ways to save money on the dole here are just a few -
This is the term given to the ancient practice of literally eating of the street. Most doleys cannot afford to eatout at swanky restuarants like McDonalds and Harry Ramsdens, but on the contrary, you CAN eatout, out on the street. It`s a good idea to make a habit of eating perfectly good leftover food found on the ground and in the gutter.
Just hang around any busy takeaway shop and before long, slowly but surely a princely feast shall manifest itself before your very eyes mainly consisting of half eaten greasy doner kebabs, regurgitated cheesey chips and urine soaked pepperoni pizza slices. You`ll surely be spoilt for choice. No more biscuit days for you.
Asking to "borrow" something in doley terms actually means asking to keep something and with that in mind you can keep the cost of living down by "borrowing" various food items, fags, booze and practically anything else from friends and flatmates or complete strangers.
"Borrowing" the occasional ten spot will also help keep costs to a minimum.
One of the doleys main pastimes is of course, getting steamboats but more often than not the doley just cannot afford to buy many alcoholic
beverages and definitely under no circumstances a round. A smart policy to adopt is to scout the drinking establishment, "the pub", for unwanted and unwatched drinks and dregs. First look for a suitable beverage to acquire, judge the situation carefully, have a good look around to make sure nobody is watching. When the moment is just right, swipe it and make good your escape, simple but effective. Unfortunately this may end up in a vile stomach upset (ie dicky tummy and runny bottom) or a punch up but worth it none the less.
