Gloucestershire Molluscs
Hock Cliff in Gloucestershire must be one of the best locations in the country
for collecting Gryphea. We found dozens of them lying partly exposed on the
shoreline. They took little or no effort to retrieve and had the minimum of
matrix attached.
This species grew to quite a size, the largest stretches some
8cm, easily dwarfing those we found at Aust and Charmouth.
