Essex Shark Teeth
The tooth above was found by my eagle-eyed
wife Jane on our trip to Maylandsea amongst the muddy shingle
on a very wet day in December.
I believe it belongs to a Odontaspis sp. and whilst it isn't the biggest
shark tooth you will ever find,
it takes pride of place in our collection.
Below is a picture of it's modern day relative, the Sandshark.
