December 8th 1980 the world mourned the death of the greatest musician
and man ever to step on this planet, it was a horrific day that many will
never forget. John, we know your listening to us where ever you are. We
will always love you and never forget you. I think you'd want us all to

One
of the most popular questions this year so far is "Where can I get
hold of recordings of the Come Together Night For John Lennon in NYC".
I have finally found some excellent MP3's of the night including the covers
by Kevin Spacey, Sean Lennon & Moby and a few more. Simply download
the MP3 sharing package Music City Morpheus. Install this excellent piece
of software and then when performing a search use phrases like 'John Lennon
Word's Music' or 'Come Together John Lennon' or even 'Kevin Spacey' etc.
I have been told that other great sharing software like Bear Share and
Napster also contain these files.

3th : The World Silences For George
Last
night the world did as George Harrisons family requested and held a minute
silence for our great hero George. In George's home city of Liverpool
thousands came to the streets to celebrate his music at St Georges hall
in the city centre. George Harrison has been cremated
in Los Angeles. His ashes are to be spread over one of India's spiritual
rivers as he'd requested

30th : George Harrison Dies Aged 58
George
Harrison, the Beatles' quiet lead guitarist and spiritual explorer who
added both rock 'n' roll flash and a touch of the mystic to the band's
timeless magic, has died, a longtime family friend told The Associated
Press. He was 58. Harrison died at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at a friend's
Los Angeles home following a battle with cancer, longtime friend Gavin
De Becker told The Associated Press late Thursday. ``He died with one
thought in mind - love one another,'' De Becker said. De Becker said Harrison's
wife, Olivia Harrison, and son Dhani, 24, were with him when he died.

20th : Stage Where John Met Paul Up For Sale
The
stage where John Lennon met Paul McCartney all those years ago is up for
sale. And Beatles fans wanting a slice of the world's most famous
pop group can also buy the Bechstein Grand Piano used on The White Album
and to record ``Hey Jude.'' The church hall stage where pop history was
made is expected to fetch up to $72,000 at a London auction on Nov. 27,
auctioneers Fleetwood Owen said in a statement Thursday.

13th : More Lennon Art Displayed
Artwork
by John Lennon is to be displayed in a new exhibition, dotmusic can report.
'Real Love' will feature a variety of pictures drawn by Lennon,
for the nursery of his son Sean. A number of the drawings included in
the two-day exhibit have never been seen by the public.

9th : Book Depicts John And Stuarts Relationship
A
biography of the ``Fifth Beatle'' paints a revealing portrait of the formative
years of the world's most famous pop group and sheds new light on Stuart
Sutcliffe's stormy relationship with John Lennon. ``The Beatles'
Shadow,'' published Friday, was co-authored by Sutcliffe's sister Pauline
and based on his original letters, as well as her own recollections. The
bombshell of the book is Pauline Sutcliffe's assertion that her brother's
close relationship with Lennon was more intimate than previously known
-- and that she blames Lennon for her brother's death in 1962.

29th : Yoko Exhibit Of Legendary Years
Yoko
Ono, once described by her late husband John Lennon as "the world's
most famous unknown artist," has not allowed celebrity to distract
her from four decades of creativity."Yes, Yoko Ono," a 40-year
retrospective of her work, opened at Mitt's List Centre in Cambridge,
Massachusetts, this month and runs through Jan. 6. So extensive is her
portfolio that solo shows are also on view in Japan and Spain.

27th : Lennon Spitting Image Puppet For Sale
A
collection of famous Spitting Image puppets from the world of politics
and pop are going under the hammer this week. Madonna and two Lady Thatchers
are among the creations on offer in the last-ever sale from the show.
The Madonna puppet wears a revealing Jean Paul Gaultier stage outfit and
there are puppets of Lady Thatcher's husband Denis and son Mark. Ex-Beatles
Paul McCartney and John Lennon, Frank Sinatra and Rod Stewart are available,
alongside Hollywood stars Sean Connery and Joan Collins.

61st birthday to John Winston Lennon. Even now 61 years since he was born
the spirit of John is seen all around us and in these terrible times people
have to look forward and make friends not enemiesor we'll never learn

4th : Angry Lennon Letter For Sale
A
letter written to Paul McCartney by a furious John Lennon in the early
seventies, capturing the collapse of The Beatles, is expected to sell
for up to £80,000 today. The letter, which is believed to have been
written between 1970 and 1971, is part of a sale of pop memorabilia going
under the hammer at Christie's in London today.

3rd : Come Together Massive Success
The
stars were out in force last night to honour the memory of John Lennon
and to remember the victims of the New York terror attacks. The
concert, originally intended as a benefit for gun control, was postponed
and altered after the attacks on the World Trade Center. New York's Radio
City Music Hall was the venue for performances by Lou Reed, Nelly Furtado,
Craig David and Sean Lennon amongst others. Actor Kevin Spacey, who hosted
the show, told the audience: "John Lennon's spirit is with us tonight,
and so are the spirits of 5,798 others." "A despicable act of
blind hatred has failed completely to tear us apart," he added. "It
has united us in our shared pain and in our resolve." Spacey then
surprised the crowd with a moving rendition of Lennon's 'Mind Games',
receiving a standing ovation.

26th : Milk & Honey To Be Re-Released
John
Lennon and Yoko Ono's album Milk and Honey is to be remastered and released
on October 23rd.

8th : Imagine The Tribute Concert
Marking
the thirtieth anniversary of the release of the ' Imagine ' album. The
2 1/2 hour spectale which has the blessing of Yoko Ono will see a line
up of both established and younger artists who have been influenced by
Lennon's life and work. The event is a major launch pad in the UK for
the Non-Violence Project, a charity that seeks to transform attitudes
towards the kind of fatal violence that cost one of our greatest legends
his gifted life. And I am proud to say the event will take place just
a few miles from my house in my home city of Manchester!

7th : Lennons Drawings On Show In London
Thirteen
drawings by John Lennon went on public display for the first time as part
of a new exhibition to highlight the former Beatle's artistic talent.
The sketches, on loan by Lennon's widow, Yoko Ono, are part of
a larger display at a London gallery of 150 images created by Lennon between
1968 and 1980.

A
street in Serbia's second largest city, Novi Sad, has been named after
late Beatles star John Lennon, a local official said, adding that it was
his daughter who gave him the idea.

28th : TNT Master Series Huge Lennon Event
Come
Together a night for John Lennon is set for Sept. 20 at Radio City Music
Hall, will feature clips of Lennon talking about violence and the future
along with many musical numbers from top artists such as Lou Reed and
The Stone Temple Pilots. Other artists set to perform the songs of Lennon
and the Beatles include Beck , Alanis Morissette , Seal, Nelly Furtado
, Shelby Lynne , Moby and Marc Anthony, under music director Dave Stewart.
Actor Kevin Spacey will host the event.

23rd : Liverpool Welcomes Back Lennon Piano
The
walnut piano John Lennon used to compose "Imagine'' has been brought
back to the pop icon's home town of Liverpool for the city's annual Beatle
Week celebrations, which begins on Thursday.With a little help from pop
star George Michael, who snapped up the upright Steinway for $2 million
at auction last year, the piano was ushered into Liverpool under police
escort and delivered to its new home, The Beatles Story Museum. Michael,
a devout Beatles fan, said he donated the piano to the museum because
``it's not the type of thing that should be kept in storage somewhere.''

7th : Lennons Angry Letter For Sale
A
draft letter from John Lennon to fellow Beatle Paul McCartney and his
wife Linda exposing the strains around the 1970 breakup of the Fab Four
is set to go under the hammer in London. The letter, full of deletions,
misspellings and profanity, swings between vitriol over the treatment
of Lennon and his wife Yoko Ono and disdain for Linda McCartney to evident
affection for Paul. A spokeswoman for Christie's, which will auction the
letter on October 4 for an anonymous owner, said it had last changed hands
in the United States in the early 1990s and was expected to fetch up to
80,000 pounds.

2nd : Liverpool Airport To Become Lennon Airport
Liverpool
airport is to be renamed after the famous former Beatle John Lennon. The
airport is building a new £32.5million terminal to be opened next
year, which is when the name will change. The airport will have a sculpture
of John Lennon and will take the motto 'Above Us Only Sky'
a lyric from Lennon's song 'Imagine' and of course the name of the best
Lennon website!!

20th : Hyper Entertainment Represents Lennon Art
Hyper
Entertainment has entered a three-year agency agreement with Bag One Arts
Inc., the art marketing and licensing arm of the estate of John Lennon.
The artwork, originally created for Lennon's son Sean, is currently featured
on Carter's Real Love infant and children's wear products.

11th : Lennon's Chilhood Home Up For Sale
John
Lennon's childhood home in Liverpool has gone on the market for the first
time in 30 years. The young Lennon lived in the four-bedroom house in
Woolton, Liverpool - which featured on the cover of the Oasis single 'Live
Forever' - with his Aunt Mimi for almost twenty years until his career
with the Beatles started to take off in 1963.

31st : John Says He'll Not Get Over John
Sir
Paul McCartney has revealed that he'll "never get over" the
death of his former band mate, John Lennon, who was fatally shot in New
York in 1980. Speaking from the British Literature Festival in Hay-on-Wye,
Hereford yesterday (May 30th), where he was publicly reading his poetry,
the Beatles legend said of the killing: "I know I will never get
over it and I hope I will get over it."

21st : John Harmonica Goes For A Song
A
harmonica belonging to John Lennon has been sold for £2,400 at auction.
Lennon gave the harmonica to a close friend and signed the inside lid
of the box. The harmonica went under the hammer at Lamberhurst Auctions
which is based in Lamberhurst, Kent. A telephone bidder, who wished to
remain anonymous, made the successful bid. Lennon's inscription on the
box read: "Don't judge me for my goodness or try me for my badness.
If you care to judge me then try me as a man."

19th : Lennon Death Tops Rock Shock Poll
John
Lennon's assassination has been voted the most shocking event in the history
of rock. His death topped music channel VH1's 100 Most Shocking Moments
In Rock And Roll poll. The accusation that Michael Jackson abused children
came second. The 1969 Rolling Stones concert in Altamont, where a fan
was murdered by Hell's Angels, came third.

14th : Yoko Bans Charity Portrait Of John
John
Lennon's widow Yoko Ono has forbidden an artist from using portraits of
the former Beatles star to raise money for his old school. Joanne Shaw,
26, had hoped to use her prints of the former singer - who was killed
by a crazed fan - to help his former school raise money for much-needed
repairs.

7th : Beatles Back In The USSR
The
Girls Of The Beatles, a play based on several characters from Beatles
songs, is continuing to wow Moscow audiences, according to the BBC. The
play features the characters of Sergeant Pepper ("Sgt. Pepper's Lonely
Hearts Club Band"), Rita ("Lovely Rita Meter Maid"), Lucy ("Lucy In The
Sky With Diamonds"), Sexy Sadie ("Sexy Sadie"), and Michelle ("Michelle").
The storytelling mixes fantasy and reality with a background of Beatles

6th : Hard Days Night Back On Big Screen
Beatlemania
shows no sign of fading 30 years after the world's most famous pop group
split up. An album of their No. 1 hit singles has sold more than 27 million
copies and topped the charts in more than 30 countries around the world
since its release last November. Now it is the turn of ``A Hard Day's
Night'' -- the 1964 motion picture starring the Fab Four. It was directed
by Richard Lester and hailed by New York's Village Voice as ``the Citizen
Kane of jukebox movies.'' The black-and-white film is being re-released
in Britain

30th : Liverpool Give Yoko Honorary Degree
Yoko
Ono, is to be awarded an honorary degree for her contribution to the arts
by his hometown university in Liverpool. The avant-garde artist and musician
will receive a Doctor of Laws from Liverpool University on July 2, a university
spokesman said. Ono set up a scholarship at the university in 1991 in
memory of Lennon, who was gunned down by a crazed fan in New York 20 years
ago. The scholarship is awarded to students from Liverpool with an awareness
of global problems and environmental issues, the university said.

29th : Nicole Buys Liam Lennon Painting
Nicole
Appleton bought Liam Gallagher a schoolgirl's painting of John Lennon
for £200. The Oasis star had fallen in love with the painting after spotting
it hanging at a school near his north London home. So Nicole bought the
picture by former pupil Leila Davis. It had been on the school's wall
for three years. Liam was collecting girlfriend Nicole Appleton's niece,
Rachel, when he first saw the picture, The Mirror reports.

17th : Elton Plays The Cavern
Surviving
members of Sir Elton John's first band are reforming after 33 years to
play the Cavern Club. Sir Elton was still known as Reginald Dwight when
he played with Bluesology. Organiser of the Hercules Elton John fan club,
George Matlock, said: "Elton was a close friend of John Lennon, and 21
years after the Beatles' tragic loss, we want to pay tribute to him as
well as celebrate Elton's birthday on March 25. The event takes place
at The Cavern Club from midday to 7pm. Admission is £10/£12

One
of my favourite groups the Manic Street Preachers, admirers of Cuba's
anti-U.S. stance, plan to visit the Lennon statue, in a Havana park, on
Saturday prior to their invitation-only concert.

14th : Story Behind Lennon Art Raid
The
true story behind the raid on the London art gallery that exhibited John
Lennon’s erotic lithographs 30 years ago has finally come to light. Official
files that have recently been made available to the public for the first
time reveal that police were worried about the Beatle’s effect on young
