Gorsty Bank - visitors
Gorsty Bank - some of our visitors comments

Our third visit. We have enjoyed it again. Wonderful country walks, unspoilt views, quiet old towns, good pub grub - what more could you want?
David and Katherine Gibbs. Enfield

Beginning of the week, tense. End of the week, relaxed! Again - a relaxing and delightful visit with a strong sense of having been invited into an hospitable home.
Peter and Ann Walshe. Indiana USA.

What the children think
Anyone who comes must have a go at wood chopping. It takes some practice but once you get it , it has great rewards.
At night go out and have a look at the sky it is amazing, you can see every star in the sky.
Ollie (aged 12)

Great house, great countryside and farm, we enjoyed being farmers!
Amy (aged 9) Brighton.

Mary is really friendly I hope she has nice babies.
Fabi (aged 5) (Mary, one of our oldest ewes had twins this year)

Back to the adults
We have really enjoyed our holiday here.
House - spacious and comfortable and dishwasher much appreciated by us too!
Surroundings - brilliant! We had several walks on the common and got to know parts of it quite well. We walked to Croft Castle and found the Chestnut Avenue and Oak and Lime Avenues too - all with the help of the map provided. Would like to return.
Jenny, Gordon, Lorna, Callum and Hannah Eele. Berkshire.
(they do return)

Amongst the weeks highlights were visits to Berrington Hall and Stokesay Castle. For more energetic activities we found swimming in Ludlow and a horse ride across the moors fun.
Best of all however were the magnificent walks across the common and the surrounding area where we saw brilliant views of buzzards, ravens, deer, pigs, ponies and of course sheep. Thank you for a fabulous week in this excellent house.
The Slaney Family - and Grandma.

Bayou Seco comes to visit. What a piece of heaven this is! Comfortable beds and company. We liked the local cheeses, loved the walking and driving round the area, and playing Cajun music out under the trees. Sweeping views, pheasants, sheep baaaaing, birds chirping, accordians wheezing and fiddle and guitar whirling along.
Jeanie McCleary. New Mexico, USA

For both of us the peaceful ambience of Gorsty Bank and the picturesque panoramic views were a major part in our enjoyment.
The people here are extremely friendly and everyone has a 'Good morning' or a 'Hello' for strangers. I'v always spent any holidays in Britian in the Lake District, but this countryside setting, the lovely houses, the history and the people have all lovingly converted me to Herefordshire!
Darren Clarke and Victoria Yates. Manchester.

I loved the views, the walks, the quiet, the rustic setting.
L.G. Waering. Angiers France.

We have had a delightful rural week in Herefordshire. For us 'Gorsty Bank's charm lay in it's remoteness and stunning scenery.
Sarah Gill, Hilary Milnthorpe and friends.

And we could go on, but people really enjoy it and say so!
