At midday on 1st January 2000, the church bells of St. Remigius rang out with others across the whole country to celebrate the new Millennium. The bells rang 'Call Changes' for about 10 minutes after which there was a short service in the Church. Following the service, ringers and congregation enjoyed a glass of mulled wine. Earlier the New Year had been 'rung in' at midnight. Those who took part in the midday ringing are pictured.
