Aeroflot - Now operating 737-400s daily.
Air China - May start Hong Kong services by 2001 and will increase it's LHR-Beijing service soon from 3 to 4 a week.
Air Namibia - New 747-400 now operating into LHR twice weekly.
Air New Zealand - Now serving Auckland daily
Armenian - Due to start soon with 3 weekly A310s.
British Airways - Has now withdrawn all 747-100s. During the winter many 767 flights will be replaced by 757s and 757s replaced by A320s on European services. Concorde flights to Barbados have resumed with up to three flghts a week over Xmas. From 3/12/99 will commence 3 flights a week to Lagos with a 747-400 painted in new Nigeria Airways colours, with a BA flight number and a mix of BA/Nigerian cabin crew.
British Midland - Applied to start transatlantic flights from Heathrow to four US cities. An order for 767-300ERs is contemplated along with a possible name change.
Canadian - Due to start Heathrow-Delhi from February 2000 with 767s, replacing Air Canada.
Malaysian - First class passengers are offered a helicopter transfer to LHR within 60 a mile radius.
Passengers - Heathrow handled 5.98 million passengers in September 1999
Singapore - Have applied for LHR transatlantic services
Swissair - Now using MD-11s on peak morning flights from Zurich
Virgin Atlantic - Has been given permission to start LHR to Delhi/Bombay. Commenced Chicago services on 1-11-99 with 6 A340 flights a week, but has now switched it's LHR-Miami service back to LGW due to LHR slot shortages. December 3rd saw the start of a weekly Cape Town flight by 747-400.
