Each week is broken down into 6 sections.

Harrow Woodchip Group is a progressive educational group for under 5's, their parents and carers.

* Developing, sharing and co-operative skills.
* Developing respect for and a caring attitude towards others.
* Developing confidence in collective activities.
* Developing self expression and creative skills.
* Enjoying the outdoor environment and developing respect for the natural world.
* Appreciating each others efforts and the achievements of the group.
* Becoming familiar with the basic principles of the Woodcraft Folk.


What We Get Up To At Woodchips


We do games; folk dancing; crafts; drama/story telling at the group.

We hold regular rambles/picnics as part of our outdoor programme and we participate in District Camps.


Group Information

Group Leaders Info: A female pre-school teacher supported by 3 other adults.
Meeting Place: We use a child friendly church hall.
Time & Date: Woodchips 9.30-11.15AM SAT.

21 FEB
Sponsored Ramble at Stanmore Common

We go to the local woods as a group for a Sponsored ramble. Raising funds for local charities and our selves.

26 OCT
Halloween Ramble at Bayhurst Woods.

We visit Bayhurst Woods with the children and there families. We spend the day walking wit hthe lanterns made at group. The event finishes with hot chocolate and a bun.


Harrow Woodcraft Folk Festival. 7th Dec 2003.


This is our first folk dance festival for many years. We hope snowcap will 'perform' a circle dance with their parents. Other groups and Kinsfolk are preparing their dances. Refreshments will be served. Lots of opportunities to enjoy dancing. This is lots of fun and absolutely FREE!!
