Brian
was born in 1941 and moved to Southwold from Hounslow in Middlesex
in 1997. Brian has been a self-taught artist since his mid thirties
and has worked in oils, watercolours and recently acrylics.
Brian's earlier work
was inspired by urban textures of dilapidated buildings with
their scars and graffiti. Since moving to Southwold his work
has been about the textures of the old fishing boats along Blackshore,
continuing this interest in the build up of paint and wear,
the scars and damage on hard working surfaces, in a new environment.
