About Greenhow Hill Weather Station

The Greenhow Hill Weather Station is powered by a RAINWISE WS2000 wireless solar powered weatherstation. It contains sensors for Windspeed, Wind direction, Temperature, Barometric Pressure, Humidity and Rainfall. All these parameters are collected once a minute via an R.F. link by a data logger. Whenever the station computer is powered up, the data is retrieved processed and uploaded to the website automatically by the stations Virtual Weatherstation software once an hour. The camera is driven by Image Salsa software and updates every 30 minutes. The image is overlayed with current conditions from the weather station. The station is located in the village of Greenhow Hill on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales in North Yorkshire, England. The village is one of the highest villages in England. It's altitude of around 1300 feet (1000 feet higher than the neighboring village of Pateley Bridge, approx. 3 miles to the east) gives it it's own unique weather.

***The WEATHERCAM is back online. Currently the camera faces towards Pateley Bridge along the B6265. It also covers part of our front yard so if you see us, be sure to wave!***
