Regular Cast: Frasier, Niles, Martin, Daphne, Roz and Eddie.

Guest Cast: Eric the waiter (Dean Erickson), Harry (John Brandon)

Guest Callers: Lorraine (Judith Ivey), Derek Mann (Joe Mantegna)

Skyline: Nothing happens.

Plot: Newspaper critic Derek Mann states in his column "I Hate Frasier Crane", much to Niles' amusement. Frasier hits back on his show, and eventually this spirals into a war-of-words.

Derek Mann prints a list of why he hates Frasier, which Frasier takes to pieces on his show. Derek Mann then phones in challenging Dr Crane to a fight.

Frasier at first refuses, but after some persuasion from Martin he decides to face up to Derek Mann. Frasier had refused to fight a bully whilst at school and Martin had got teased by his colleagues, who happened to included the bully's dad. However Martin has a plan to stop the fight before it can actually begin, thus saving both their skins.

Subtitles: I Hate Frasier Crane; Oh Yeah…?; Yeah!!!; Et Tu Eddie?

It's Maris!!!…..The Argument With The Operator: She was after the number of an analyst. She was too distressed to accompany Niles afterwards.

Roz loves….. the garbage man, who watched her naked in her bathroom. He had a missing tooth.

Martin knows….. Harry the cop who broke up the fight between Frasier and Derek Mann. He was doing a favour for Martin.

Trivia: Eric the waiter makes a reappearance. Mentions of Derek Mann, Duke's and the Weeping Lotus Case. Also mention of Billy Kriezel, who we meet in Ep 35 "Seat Of Power".
