Eddie is Martin's Jack Russell Terrier. He lives with Martin in Frasier's apartment. Eddie is prone to long bouts of staring at Frasier, much to Frasier's annoyance and Niles' amusement (Eddie once used to stare at Niles until Niles told him Frasier was the oldest Crane son. Eddie then stared at Frasier instead). He also likes to eat everything in the apartment, although he does sometimes have the decency to make sure it's OK with Martin or Frasier first.

Frasier hates Eddie with a vengeance. He did not want Eddie to move in to his apartment (neither did he want Martin's chair) but Martin somehow persuaded him ("He's my best friend!!!"). Now that they share a home, Eddie continued his staring bouts at Frasier. Lately he doesn't stare as much, instead having a total disrespect for the owner of his home.

Eddie almost always steals the scenes he appears in. And despite the fact that he drinks toilet water and often sneaks into Daphne's room (by doing this he has exposed her smoking habit and the fact that boyfriend Joe had spent the night with her in bed) Eddie is beloved of everyone. Except Frasier.

Oh, and Eddie's birthday is May 7^th.

Job: Martin's partner in crime. Also very good at annoying Frasier.
