GeogOnline is managed by Peter Noblett of the Geography Department of Crickhowell High School. This is his personal page. GeogOnline by Peter Noblett
He was born in 1956 in Penrith, Cumbria - a part of the English Lake District near Ullswater. He attended Queen Elizabeth Grammar School leaving in 1974 with Advanced Level passes in Geography, Geology, Chemistry and General Studies. Favourite walks were around Aira Force and around Haweswater

He studied Geography at the University of Durham graduating in 1977. He then trained as a teacher with PGCE qualification from Sheffield University to teach Geography in 1978. His first post was teaching Geography at Brecon High School in Wales from 1978 to 1983.
He moved to become Head of Humanities at Crickhowell High School in the Brecon Beacons National Park when it first opened in September 1983. His current post is that of Head of Lower School and teacher with responsibility for Geography.

Peter has been married to Norah since 1979 and they have 3 sons. Norah (front row second left) also trained as a Geography teacher but is currently employed as a lecturer in Career Planning at the University of Glamorgan. She drives a Ford Ka to work.

Peter now feels that he has lived in Wales sufficiently long to regard it as his national homeland. He attends all the Wales home soccer internationals. His wife and children are all Welsh. They all enjoy the music of The Manic Street Preachers.
Currently a favourite hobby is to attend the Quiz evenings every Monday from 8.30 p.m. in the White Hart pub in Crickhowell. The Musketeers team usually put in a good performance each week but it is the taking part and not the winning that matters!
