I’ll get back to the point – The Trout and Salmon fishing to be had in The Trossachs and Perthshire offers sport for the most experienced fishers, but also for the occasional fisher who wants to try a change of surroundings. This little article is intended to introduce you to the salmon and trout fishing to be had here and to introduce you to some of the waters, strategies and techniques which make fishing here such a pleasure.

Salmon and Sea Trout
The Salmon has generally returned in reasonable numbers in 2001, although not in any consistent pattern.Ask locally or use a gamefishing agency to organise your visit.
Season:- 15th January to 15th October with regional variations.
Brown Trout
Brown or 'wild ' trout fishing is sometimes overlooked - or indeed frowned upon by the keen salmon fisher, but remember that the wild brown species can offer great sport in spectacular surroundings. The size may not be great, but skill is required to tempt this wily quarry.
Season:- 15th March to 6th October.
