Would you go
back to the same funeral company?
Well of course you would.
If the service was
satisfactory and they supplied everything you asked......
If the staff were turned
out smartly and the vehicles were clean......
If it all went smoothly and
professionally......
If you felt that you
received good advice and value for money......
And credit where it's due,
most funerals just seem to happen - which is exactly how it should be. A
lot can go wrong before, during and after the event - so long as it all
goes wrong smoothly, that's the thing!
As a bereaved client, you
should never be aware of any difficulty incurred by the funeral staff in
the normal completion of their tasks - that's their problem.
If this was your first
involvement, you will tend to make any judgement against the personality
of those with whom you dealt. If you felt comfortable with the funeral
arranger and his/her staff during the funeral itself, you will be more
than likely to return to them for help in the future.
If there was a jarring note
to the proceedings, you may hesitate. What you must realise is that, apart
from those very remote locations, there is no need to use the
"local" funeral director. Just because the premises are less
than a mile or two away doesn't make them the best choice for the work.
Most funeral directors will travel virtually anywhere in the country -
with their profits, they're happy to do so.
Try the 'phone book - you
may be surprised at just how many funeral directors there are to choose
from. If you don't want to go back to the same company next time, simply select another - it
always remains your choice.
