Death, the dead and the dying - subjects that we treat as taboo. We stand back
from these matters and place them in the hands of the funeral director. Our first encounter with death is often when we have to make a
funeral arrangement. Unprepared, shocked by the suddenness of
bereavement and stunned by the onset of grief, we are led through a
strange and confusing process that leaves us dazed but relieved to have
done with. Afterwards, we sometimes realise that there may have been other options.
We hope to inform and interest you with a commentary on the funeral service providers; who they are, what
they do, why they do it. We talk about the funeral director, the
drivers, chauffeurs and the funeral companies. We also hope to show that they are not always what they seem and further, tell how to get
what you want from them, even a non religious service, rather than what they want to make you have. A well informed client can save money
when dealing with almost any business - we tell you how to save a fortune,
possibly.
