Macaroni with Olive Sauce

 

Macaroni is served here with butter, garlic and finely chopped olives. A very tasty dish that makes an ideal starter.

Ingredients :

  • 300g / 11 oz macaroni
  • 60g / 2 oz butter
  • 1 clove garlic, finely chopped
  • 10 olives, green and/or black, finely chopped
  • Salt and pepper


Preparation and Cooking Instructions :

  1. Cook the macaroni to your liking in salted, boiling water. Rinse in hot water and set aside to drain.
  2. Melt the butter in a saucepan and add the garlic and cloves. Cook for 1 minute and then stir in the macaroni.
  3. Check the seasoning, adding salt and pepper as necessary. Serve hot.

    Variation:
    Add a few chopped capers to the olives, but reduce the amount of salt.
    Cook's Tip: Rinse the macaroni really well under the water to prevent it from sticking together.
