The SEINE + the LOING, BRIARE and LATERAL CANALS

Heading south from Paris, the French waterway system follows the Seine River, passing by Fontainebleau and Samois-sur-Seine before meeting up with the Loing and the oft-painted village of Moret-sur-Loing (Alfred Sisley). Continuing southwards, one reaches Nemours, Montargis and Briare. After crossing over the magnificent Pont Canal at Briare, the Canal Lateral follows a course to Nevers, Decize and ultimately Digoin.
