Bankers Bankers are teams that you are absolutely certain are going to win. Discussion is two sided. On one hand, on perms, if the minimum selection is 5 homes, and you have two bankers, you only have to choose three more teams. You could count the two bankers as part of the selection, but if not, you could still choose 5 teams, and perm them so that as long as any three of them win (as well as the bankers) you've fulfilled your minimum requirements. For example; Without Bankers; "Match 1
1 Any 5 from 7 - 21 bets." With Bankers; "Match 1
B Two Banker homes (B) + any 3 from 5 - 10
bets." Fewer bets means a smaller stake, or, alternatively, the same stake but with a greater return. On the other hand, there is the argument - with reason - that there is no such thing as a banker. I certainly wouldn't have more than 2 homes as bankers, and more than 1 away, and only if that had everything going for it. Furthermore, bankers are so likely to come in, that they invariably draw terribly low odds. It only takes a slight slip to lose a banker, and then your entire bet is gone. Remember - there aren't just wins and losses - there are also draws. |
