A not-quite-canonical gig, featuring some Feline material, that David put together for Midsummer's Night 1997.
At the time, David was enrolled on a BTec National Diploma in Pop Music course at Eastbourne College of Arts und Technology (ECAT).
As an end-of-year finale, students on the course put on an immense Midsummer Meltdown show, in the ginormous Odyssey nightclub that perches over the waves on the end of Eastbourne Pier.
There were about 20 (!) other bands on the bill… as usual, there was much grumbling from them about the space taken up by the feline boards of keyness… in the end, a 2nd stage had to be constructed to accommodate the overspill!
David enlisted fellow ECAT students Dean Adams (last seen in the band Rumiko Jnr.) & Steve Barber (last seen with Celebricide) to play with him, and also his close personal friend, Feline's Cultural Attaché— namely, Ms Lisa Harkins.
The set was billed as The Feline Half-Cat End-of-the-Pier Roadshow, and consisted of a couple of tasty covers, a new ambient pop song called Twilight, and a full throttle rendition of Feline clawssick People Without Pets.
David was also proudly sporting his brand new short haircut, his 3-foot long ginger locks having finally been given the chop…

Sadly we've no photos of the actual gig—the entire show *was* filmed, but the video tapes were stolen by another ECAT media student before any of us could get a copy! :-O
