*** 4th January 2003 *** 50 001 is now completely cut-up at Booth's scrapyard in Rotherham. There is nothing left intact, even the cabs have gone. Bits of bodyside panels are scattered around the site
*** 12th December 2002 *** Cutting up of 50 001 has started at Booth's scrapyard in Rotherham. RIP Dreadnought - thanks for the memories - you should have been preserved ahead of some of the others
*** 10th December 2002 *** 50 049 has just been fitted with crests above it's nameplate's - the same red diamond shaped crests that it had when it was 50 149 in preservation in the mid 90's !!
*** 5th October 2002 *** 50 029 & 50 030 have moved to Peak Rail, Rowsley
*** 21st September 2002 *** 50 021 has moved to Birmingham Tyseley
*** 12th August 2002 *** 50 001 has been purchased for Spares - To be cut up at Booth's, Rotherham, late 2002
*** 5th July 2002 *** 50 029 & 50 030 have been successfully purchased for restoration by the Renown Repulse Restoration Group
50 031 & 50 049 have moved to Old Oak Common Depot, West London, for the rest of 2002, to work various mainline railtours
50 017 could be working again soon, repairs being nearly finished by DNLL at Tyseley
50 044 has been repainted temporarily in Two Tone Green at OOC.
50 015 is still awaiting Traction Motor No.3 repairing or replacing on the East Lancs Railway.
