Welcome traveller, to a secret grove
As you walk within be wary that you walk within the dreams, the hopes and fears of another. There is a faint scent of magic in the air, the glitter of enchantment, the soft caress of a sweet breeze ... there is a feeling that anything may happen.
The forest you have walked through for hours has given way to a glade carpeted with thick moss of emerald green, the trees which once blocked your path now shade you from the heat of the sun. A small stream sparkles and splashes enticingly into a circular pool, little more than an indentation among the green; a goblet is set on a flat rock beside it, inviting you to drink. Soft birdsong fills the air with music while myriad forest flowers revive your eyes and nose, once tired from the city's harshness.
As you seat yourself on the cushion soft ground a whirring of wings surrounds you, no birds nor butterflies these, each on gossamer wings, smiling welcoming, inviting you to go deeper, to tread the ancient paths through the mists and into a different realm.
To follow them to a realm where magic and wonder are still in evidence and where the cares and strain of the concrete world can fade to forgetfulness.
Reach up and take a hand, see where these beings will lead; but never forget that the fae can be tricksy, deceitful, playful, capricious...not the tiny blessings of children's tales these but the remanents of a race that once walked this earth side by side with us, a race once worshipped as gods and one that still has power to those who believe.
Take a breath and step into the mists, trust to what your heart remembers...

Links to another part of the site that doesn't have a pretty picture yet...This is the home of a world I've been creating for something over a year now...If you're really interested go ahead and have a look but please bear in mind the disclaimer on the content page - this is still very much in the draft stages and some of it needs to be completely rewritten so it doesn't sound like it was created by a five year-old! Some of it isn't even in complete pages yet, just notes that I need to have somewhere so I don't forget about them the minute I put them down. I'm hoping to set up a guestbook type feature for it so I can get comments inside the site rather than on the main book and I promise that the world will get updated as fast as I get the work done.

Updates
This section is copied from my original start page, I didn't want to lose all of what I had written there and the site is still very much under construction, eventually I will learn enough html to make it as spangly as I want but for now I'm getting there, I've got my picture links started which was one of the things I wanted. For now I'll keep this section at the bottom of the page, tucked away from my random faerieness and just add to both parts as and when I can. I've got the bug again now so hopefully I'll write more and update faster and generally get this place looking alot more the way it should...besides it gives me an excuse to make many millions more faerie dolls!
I still have the same goals for this page and slowly, oh so slowly, it is getting there. When I say slowly I mean that I still don't think that I've finished some of the first stuff that I put up, for example I'm fairly sure that there is another part of Elharia's story floating around in the ether somewhere.
In the end this place will be my own world holding random stuff about me, who I am what I do, my life, who I'd like to be. My various bits of fantasy in their stages of completion, pictures I like. Hopefully eventually how my theatre company/career is going.
I like to know what people think of my efforts so please drop me a line via email at alana_foxton@yahoo.co.uk or leave a message in my guest book. I appreciate constructive critiscism as well so don't be afraid to complain or let me know which bits aren't working - how can i fix them if I don't know that they're broke?
