Adopting a dog
|
THE ADOPTION PROCEDURE If you are interested in adopting a lurcher or greyhound the first step is to contact the charity and discuss your requirements and domestic situation and set-up. All homes are carefully vetted and, after in-depth discussions with one of the charity members, suitable dogs will be advised to potential owners. You are not faced with walking up and down rows of cages to make your choice instead Pip will hand pick the dogs which she thinks will suit you best and you get a chance to meet them in a friendly home environment—and if you’re lucky you might just get a mug of tea and some cake. |

| All of our dogs, where possible, go through a thorough assessment process. This means we try to get the right dog for the right home and the right home for the right dog. We will not re-home, under any circumstances, dogs which we feel are unsuitable to homes with cats, dogs, children or livestock if these dogs have turned out under assessment to be unable to live with any of the above. | ![]() |
