Priory Inn hit Dynamos with 2 second half sucker punch goals to punish the host of missed chances by Dynamos players. After losing after 2 minutes Dynamos were under pressure quickly but towards half-time Tudge capitalised on Dynamos pressure and headed the equaliser.
|
 |
It was Tudge's first goal of the season. The second half was all Dynamos, but chance after chance went begging before Priory broke away and made it 2-1. Again Dynamos had chances but the misses continued. A comedy gaffe from Hatton gifted Priory a 3rd goal at the death. Dynamos will see this as a difficult defesat to stomach. |

 man-of-the-match: Jamie Whatley
|
On a soaking wet afternoon Dynamos got of to a
nightmare start when poor marking from a Priory
corner on 2 minutes left the striker unmarked to
thump home for 1-0. It was all Priory with some
slick football and they came close to increasing
the lead on 12 minutes with a blistering drive that
went just over. Dynamos first chance came on 20
minutes when they were awarded a free kick on the
edge of the 18 yard box. Whatley stepped up and
curled the ball just over the crossbar. The game
opened up with both teams pushing forward but the
relentless rain turned the game into a mud-path
with passes going astray. On 40 minutes though
Dynamos broke away and a shot from Addiscott was
cleared off the line for a corner. The corner
was swung in by Brenson, headed back across by
Whatley and there was Tudge to head down past the
keeper for 1-1. Right on half time Mussington was
dis-possessed 25 yards out and the first time shot
was brilliantly tipped over by Hatton.
Dynamos flew out of the blocks at the start of the
2nd half and both Brenson and Everitt came close to
giving Dynamos the lead. Everitt was through 1 on 1
but his chip over the keeper dropped wide. Next it
was Tudge who somehow shot over the bar from 6 yards
after a ball was squared back to him from Brenson.
It was all Dynamos as they piled on the pressure, on
54 minutes Addisott went through 1 on 1 only for the
shot to agonislingly trickle wide of the far post.
All the pressure should have brought a goal but on
64 minutes a ball through the Dynamos defence put
the stirker through and he blasted past Hatton for
2-1. Dynamos poured forward and both Tudge and Hale
saw their shots somehow saved on the line. In the
dying seconds of the game Priory again broke and the
winger let fly with a weak effort which somehow
trickled under the hapless Hatton and 3-1 to Priory
Inn...Game Over.
Final Score was 3-1 to Priory Inn
