Hmm, nice car! (NOT ours, I hasten to add!) Note the restaurant/bar on the left of the picture.
Stadium: Beautifully signposted! 10/10!! Actually, sign posted from 18km out of the city (in all directions as far as could tell). It didn't look too impressive though - just ordinary. The female guard at the gate would not let us very close to the stadium, so could not see inside. There is a restaurant just outside the ground - and plenty of car-parking. The area is very affluent!!

Who's the odd malformed, running person with the weird trousers??!?! Pix by Paul of course! :)
Bruges: A lovely place for sauntering and buying choccies and lace! Consider buying the "cheaper" lace, unless you have an understanding bank manager! Chip (frite, french fries) stalls and reasonably priced restaurants (including a "Quick" burger joint on the Markt) are everywhere so you won't go hungry! Watch out for the horses pulling the carts though - some of them are a little unhinged! The hotel we stayed in, (Hotel De Tassche) is very central (right behind the belfry) and reasonably priced. Would highly recommend it, although it is probably already fully booked. Cozy rooms (with open beams), restaurant - friendly staff who speak excellent English. (I suppose it's not their fault about the vicious mozzies in the room!) |
