That time before dawn
darkness fades ... before the coming light
it seeps into my room
sketches the stark shadows
across the wall....
black , bare branches
in sharp relief against the white
a familiar focus ..
now that you've left I no longer sleep.
My mind reacting to the pain of emptiness
that grips my heart filling it with pain...
and restlessness.
Chasing shadows, echos of silence
(of what was ..)
(what might have been)
slide between the empty spaces
My world is black and white .
