Summer time means only one thing to most people: vacation. Summer fun means going to the beach or spending time with relatives overseas. Many enjoy traveling during summer because of the good weather and the time-off that they get from working hard. However, taking vacations can also turn out to be another form of work. All the preparations needed to go on a vacation can become so taxing. From packing the bags to getting the kids to join, to making hotel reservations and preparing a doable itinerary — the minute details of going on a vacation can take a toll on even the most eager vacationers. In planning for the perfect family vacation, all members of the family should be made to take part in the planning. A lot of stress and anxiety involved in going to vacations stem from the fact that not all members of the family agree on the time, destination or activities to be done during the vacation. It is also wise to check the family budget to see what possible places they can go to depending on their budget. Anxiety can also be felt during a vacation when expectations are not met or when unscheduled changes take place. A million problems can occur and turn that dream vacation into a nightmare. A delayed flight, or lost baggage, or having a conked out air-conditioning unit in the hotel room can be a real drag. More anxiety can ruin a vacation when the parents lose a sense of control over their children. Just imagine a parent losing sight of a toddler in a crowded beach, or suddenly finding out that your child was left behind during the last stop of the tourist bus. An even more serious source of anxiety is not having control over one s environment. Remember all the tourists who almost lost their lives while visiting New Orleans? Or the number of families who perished during the tsunami that hit Thailand in 2004? Taking time off with the family should be absolutely free of stress and anxiety. Vacations should be fun and full of laughter. At the same time, it is important to accept is impossible to avoid stress and anxiety during a vacation because of the simple reason that we cannot control every single facet of our lives. So, what can we do to make our vacations truly worry-free? One easy step to take is to talk to a travel agent. While it may entail spending a little more money, a professional travel agent can help you think through your plans, budgets, and timeline for taking a vacation. Another option to consider is to buy a travel guide book. Travel guide books contain lots of information about the place that you want to visit. From the book, you may be able to read about the culture, beliefs, interesting places to visit, and the usual Do s and Dont s. If reading a book is not your thing, surfing the Net may be the next best thing. Websites of resorts and other destinations can provide information and pictures — all useful in planning that trip. So next time, make sure you consider all options on how to make your vacation planning worry-free. DrugstoreTM.com is a reputable online drug store. From sexual health to a woman s health, sleeping aids to weight loss pills, our online pharmacy offers convenient customer access to various health medicines, including an array of health product and medicare prescription drug. By taking a multi-vitamin that contains vitamin C, you will be helping to keep your hair, skin, and teeth healthy. Vitamin C is an antioxidant that has been proven to rid the skin from harmful toxins that are present in the air and in the food that we eat. Hair follicles unfortunately absorb these toxins which can result in hair loss. This can be prevented by eating foods that are rich in vitamin C such as red peppers, green vegetables, citrus fruits, and by taking a daily multi-vitamin that will help sustain vitamin C levels. If you are experiencing patches of hair loss, you may be under physical or emotional stress. Many times, switching to a diet that contains vitamins such as vitamin C will help the hair grow back. The scalp is very sensitive to pollutants in the air and will become depleted of nutrients needed for healthy hair unless they are replaced daily. This is why taking a vitamin and incorporating enough fruits and vegetables into your diet will help you keep from losing your hair. While there may be other reasons for the hair loss, such as illness, many people simply do not eat enough fruits and vegetables throughout the day. Eating a healthy diet will help the body maintain its present condition and will get nutrients to where they need to go. This will help hair remain strong and continue to grow as you age. While some hair loss is to be expected, women who lose a lot of hair should seek medical attention. The revolution is indeed underway. Money married to desire, imagination and necessity has produced a technological revolution which will see incredible changes and potential. This is not about any morbid fixation, but rather about complimentary technologies. Some religious ideologists, or ethically sensitive groups, may not approve. Fine! Each to his own. But, someone dealing with paralysis, for example, has hope for a productive future. Cybernetics, which is the introduction and implementation of hardware or non-organic components, into the body, has enormous potential. Micro processors and less invasive wireless technologies ( no need for physical connection ), result in the remote control of peripheral devices. A robotic arm, to mention a simple application that everyone is familiar with, can be controlled to manipulate the external world, or perform relatively simple tasks like switching on the kettle. Simpler again, and often more important, would be to scratch oneself, when itchy. If you ever wore a cast, you ll know what is meant by that. Artificial limbs are fairly common, and can range in complexity or performance. It is fairly safe to say that we all know someone who depends on these (though it might not be obvious ). The artificial eye is a breakthrough and is here, and though it requires refinement, it will improve. And why wouldn t it? We all know of cameras and how their images are transportable. The thing here is to allow a blind person, for example, to access what a camera sees, where the eye has been irreversibly damaged or impaired. The optic nerve, however, may be just fine, so an interface between a camera and it, is one approach, and the approach that has returned some results. Artificial hearing, in its earlier form, was known as a hearing aid, and is around a long time, and implants within the head, dramatically increases its potential,. It is this type of hardware implants that cybernetics encompasses. A merging of the biological and electronic environments, if you will. People who suffer physical injury or disease, that render them into a limited field of possibility, will be the initial beneficiaries. Apparently, there is an area of the brain called the paroidal reach region, that can function, where complete paralysis exists. It runs through the plan before a physical act occurs. Some believe that where this region is functional, external manipulation is possible. A processor is implanted; it picks up on the electrical firing activity produced, and communicates this information wirelessly, to an external device. The theory is that if we can think it, well then we can do it. Wasn t it Napoleon that said If we can perceive it, we can achieve it . I really doubt though, that he was referencing cybernetics. However, it is known that the hardware to device communication is possible. It is also known that the device control is possible. Modern machinery from production machinery to marine vessels have what is known as dynamic positioning control. Research vessels can hold position to within five inches of any point, in the Atlantic or other oceans, under normal sea conditions. Twenty years ago, this tolerance was two foot, or feet. Special electrical motors ( though no longer considered special ), make this possible. The older technology was mechanical gearboxes that had a limited reaction time/control. So, these or similar motor technologies, can be used for robotic arms, legs, eyes, ears, switches, switches for switches, internet connection, or indeed anything that a futuristic mind can contemplate. What is not generally known, is the brain coding, or is it? Can it be figured out? Yes! When? Soon, so hang on. Look to the internet and the advances that have occurred. Anyone with a phone connection has access to databases, and software features to limit their labour, and such things can be thought of as brain extension. Well isn t it? If you didn t have it, you would be less capable! Complimentary tools are indeed complimentary. We are not born with them, but we are born with the power or ability to create them, where resources and some support exist, and when the time in a technological sense is right, or close to it. What is meant by that is that a caveman, for example, could have been a genius, but definitely lacked support from his peers, and the framework to achieve much. At any point in time, none of us can do all that we want, whether we start early enough or not. The best we can do is to add something and if the time/circumstances is/are right, it could blow up into something phenomenal. Indeed, whatever we do, is in addition to what has been done before us. The neurosurgeons of today are simply adding to the knowledge base of their eighteenth century counterparts. Needless to say, you wouldn t let such counterparts near your feet, let alone your head. But they have a part to play in the success stories of today. Indeed, some might say that they were freed from the blight of litigation. That is true, but a little distractive. You can no longer say never , only never, within my lifetime , and you could still be wrong, such are the modern day variables.

Common ailments like acne have their share of myths. This is primarily because the occurrence of acne is commonplace and so everyone has a theory about it. One need not be a doctor to point out as to what causes acne. Some people would simply blame it on the modern day pollution while some would hold our food habits responsible. And then there are some people who would say that acne is caused because people today have started leading unhygienic lives. Probably, many of these people are right, but they are partly right at best because there is no single cause of acne. It can occur for many reasons, and there may also be a combination of causes responsible for it. The primary reason for acne in most of the cases is the dead cells, sebum and clogged pores. The outbreak of acne can be reduced in intensity by regular washing of face. We have long held things like junk food and chocolates responsible for acne. However, the recent researches do not conclusively establish the connection. Since the researches have not concluded that there is a certain connection between acne outbreaks and these foods, it cannot be said that eating chocolates and junk food can cause acne. But some researches have found that intake of iodine may cause acne outbreak. So, if you want to prevent acne, keep a check on your sea food intake because it does contain quite a generous amount of iodine. Another myth associated with acne is that it is an adolescence problem. It is true that acne is caused mostly by hormonal imbalance, which is normally noticed during the growing-up days. But acne has been found to hit people in their 30s, too. Though it is less common in people who are older than 20 year of age, but it can occur at any stage in one s life. Also, during pregnancy many women experience acne problem. This is because of the hormonal changes that occur during pregnancy. However, in such cases acne problem goes away after the delivery. The myths associated with acne are many, and most of them are baseless. It is better to consult an expert and seek help rather than trying to find one s way through the jungle of the never-ending myths. The inability to conceive after a year of unprotected intercourse is called infertility. More than 30% of infertility cases are attributed to the male factor alone i.e. fertility problems in men. http://www.whatyouneedtoknow.co.in/infertility men.html >Male infertility could be caused by one or more of the following factors: Sperm disorders: azoospermia) semen contains no sperm; oligospermia semen has low or insufficient sperm count; abnormally shaped sperm; sperm with poor motility Hormonal imbalance): lower production of male sex hormones due to physiological or genetic factors Functional problems): impotence, testicular problems due to injury or disease, difficulties with ejaculation, antibodies that hinder normal sperm activity Idiopathic infertility): infertility due to unknown causes A doctor will suggest a treatment option depending on the cause of infertility and the severity of the problem. It should be noted that no treatment works 100 percent. Reproduction is a complex process and there is only so much that we can do. SURGERY) Varicocele (enlarged veins in the scrotum) is the most common cause of male infertility and can be successfully treated with surgery. Surgery can also help repair or remove blockages or obstructions in sperm conduction pathways in a man s reproductive system. HORMONE THERAPY OR MEDICATION) Infertility due to a hormonal imbalance affects about one man in hundred. This problem is countered with injections once or twice a week to stimulate hormone production or improve sperm production ARTIFICIAL INSEMNATION) The man s semen is collected, concentrated and transferred with instruments directly into the woman s uterus. This method is used when infertility is a cause of some functional problems such as impotence. ASISTED REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES (ART) ARTs do not solve or treat male infertility, but they give a couple a better chance of conceiving. The most well-known ARTs are in-vitro fertilization (IVF) and intra cytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI). IVF involves fertilizing eggs in a laboratory i.e. conception in a test tube or a beaker, and implanting them into the woman s uterus. ICSI, a variation of IVF, entails injecting a sperm into one egg and transferring the fertilized egg to a woman s uterus. Treatment of male infertility is decided by various factors like age, genetic makeup, other medical concerns lifestyle etc. half of male infertility problems can be treated. With medical advancements made every single day, you can have a child with your genetic makeup.

Fitness is well being of a person. It does not only mean well being or healthy body but the truth is that fitness means healthy and fit brain. It is fit and healthy brain that can inculcate fresh thought and ideas for better living. Hence, the role foe healthy brain has been recognized. The health of brain plays a critical role in almost everything you do: thinking, feeling, remembering, working, and playing even sleeping. All activities can be properly maintained only if the brain is healthy. There are many kinds of steps that should be included in the daily routine to ensure healthy and fit brain. First main point to consider is that adequate supply of nutrients to the brain. it has been rightly said that it is not only the stomach that needs food in fact it is the brain that is in need of constant supply of nutrients to function properly. Health experts believe that there are some sorts of foods that affect adversely, those foods should be avoided. It is believed that the foods rich in fatty acids, vitamins and minerals particular the vitamin are considered good for brain. It is observed that the human brain is 78% of water so dehydration tends to decreases the level of performance. It is recommended that one must intake adequate amount of water and other fluids to keep brain functioning properly. We spend one third of our lives sleeping. If you have ever thought that your sleeping periods are actually a huge waste of time, you should better think again. When a person is awake, the body cells are continuously active and as time during the day progresses they become more or less fatigued. Instances of sore feet, headaches, difficulties in breathing normally, among many other body malfunctions, can be directly related with poor sleeping habits and can tremendously reduce the productivity levels while being awake. Sleeping regularly during a specific time frame can help bodies rejuvenate and increase the conscious moments regardless of one s age or working habits. As experts support, sleep provides body cells the necessary time to repair and recover from the daily demands. In need of a recovery period, our bodies experience a periodic loss of consciousness known as sleep. Entering this unconscious state is mandatory for a person s well-being, since sleep is an extremely important bodily function, needed as much as water, for the human body to function properly and be on alert. Essential to good health, the proper night sleeping habits are according to medical science the basic phase when our minds, organs and mussels find time to heal and relax. But the proper sleeping time frame is not the same for everyone. Although many will state that sleeping straight for eight hours a day is exactly what the body and the mind needs to refresh, a variety of studies over the years suggest that the amount of time needed to sleep varies greatly from individual to individual. Factors such as the person s age, the current state of health, or even a country s climate, can influence the total amount of time needed by someone to wake up and feel alert, relaxed and fit. If fatigue and discomfort is experienced on a regular basis while awake, then probably more sleeping time is required. In particular, people undergoing a stressed period need to sleep longer. This realization is rather ironic if one considers that these individuals have reported to experience the most severe abnormalities in relation to their sleeping patterns. Thus, it is important for one to test the amount of sleep they receive against their productivity levels during the day and add or subtract sleeping time depending on their current situation. Before taking a sleeping pill, attempt to form regular sleeping habits. Be proactive and try to relax so as to find the best possible combination between being asleep and being awake. Your body, your mind, your beloved ones and of course your boss will appreciate the difference. Don t waste time. Sleep!

Equine Osteopathy For The Spring Season By Emily Jones BSc (Hons) We can all feel that at last Spring is in the air and the evenings are getting lighter, meaning many people are now starting to bring their horses and ponies back into work, and youngsters are starting to be backed. This is a prime time for problems and old injuries to show themselves up. Many equines can compensate very well with slight problems through their back or muscles but as their workload increases it can come to a point where they can no longer compensate and the problem manifests itself into pain and discomfort. The signs of problems occurring in the horse can vary in so many ways, some horses may feel just a little stiff and may not be working as well as they used to, others may start rearing, bucking or bolting, others may be one sided when schooled or unable to strike off on one leg. When bringing your horse back into heavier work it is important to build up slowly and listen to your horse, if it is not feeling 100% it is worth getting them checked to prevent any problems developing further. Osteopathy is a system of examination and treatment; it is a holistic manual therapy. It uses a variety of techniques to make changes within the body to aid the horses natural healing process. Techniques consist of using articulation (taking joints through their range of motion and gradually increasing this), soft tissue work (including stretching, massage techniques and trigger point work); manipulation is also used (this is done by using long levers to adjust the spine/ neck). Osteopathy does not just focus on backs, as it is holistic the whole horse is examined and treated, from the feet upwards and from the tail to the nose. This is to ensure that the root cause of the problem is treated and not just the area that is causing the actual pain. For example, an old injury in the fetlock can cause the horse to compensate over time leading to an area of soreness behind the saddle. To treat this horse so that further problems are to be avoided, both areas must be treated. It is advisable that before a youngster is backed, they receive an Osteopathic treatment to eliminate any problems before the workload of the horse increases. Thereby preventing backing difficulties in the future. It is also advisable to have their teeth cheeked by a qualified Equine Dentist who is a member of the British Equine Dental Technicians, before starting out with the backing process. When bringing a horse back into work, it is again advisable to have them checked by an Osteopath and have their teeth checked. It is also good practice to have a qualified saddler check their saddle is a good fit, as horses can change shape so much when they have been on lighter work over the winter. If all is well with your horse it is advisable to have an Osteopathic treatment every 6 months to a year to prevent any major problems in the future. Osteopathy is very individual and is tailor made, if you have any questions or would like further information, please contact Emily Jones on 01840 261492 or go to www.animalosteo.co.uk Emily is a Registered Osteopath and has a BSc (Hons) in Osteopathic Medicine and a Post Graduate Diploma in Animal Osteopathy. As well as equines she also regularly treats people and dogs. view more about equine health and horsemanship at HandsandHooves.com

My name is Mildred Shears. I m retired and I live in the Minnesota Northwoods with my husband, George, our German Shorthair, Bodhi, and our senior citizen cat, Cinnamon.
A Sudden Transition from Health to Helplessness
On a hot summer day in 1983, I had a very sudden attack of extreme dizziness. For the next two years, I was in bed or a wheel chair and could only walk with assistance. Doctors had nothing to help me. I took a lot of supplements and tried many forms of alternative healing.
19 Years of Daily Adjustment to Unpredictable Health
I gradually got so I could walk again, but I continued to suffer from extreme fatigue and heat sensitivity. Due to inactivity, I gained a lot of weight and was sick most of the time.
Every day was a struggle to do any normal task or activity. As a mother I could not participate in actively spending time with my teen-age daughter because I did not have the energy. I could never predict when I would collapse and have to stop and rest. Planning ahead for working, shopping, preparing meals, doing housework or just visiting was impossible.
Besides being limited to doing only one major activity in a day, I needed to sleep at least 16 hours, take naps and I still felt tired most of the time.
A Welcome Invitation to Restored Health
In September, 2002, an old friend told me about glyconutrition. After thoroughly researching this revolutionary new nutritional supplement, I decided to try it. In less than 6 months, both my fatigue and sensitivity to heat had disappeared. Since then, I ve been filled with boundless energy and vitality and can do all the things that I missed out on for all those years. I ve also lost around 55 lbs. and I m vibrantly healthy. For the past 18 months, I ve seen my doctor only for routine check-ups.
A New Life of Vitality and Wellness
Over the past two years, I ve heard several hundred stories very similar to mine from people who ve used these amazing supplements. I m fully convinced at this point that anyone who takes enough of them for a long enough period of time (several months for some people) will enjoy a marked improvement in their level of health and wellness. I will continue to take these supplements daily to preserve and maintain my health and wellness.
How to Share in this Gift of Wellness
Now, I wonder whether you–or anyone you know–might be interested in learning more about these glyconutritional products. If you re like me (and most people I know), you re probably thinking “this sounds way too good to be true.” Well, I can tell you for sure that, for me, it has turned out, instead, to be something “much too good to miss.”
I believe strongly that anyone who does a thorough investigation of these products, along with their scientific underpinnings, will recognize that they are entirely different from any other type of nutritional supplement. Further–for whatever it s worth–I believe that if you give them an honest try, your health and your life–like mine–will be changed in some very wonderful ways. I predict, further, that–just like me–you ll want to share this wondrous gift with everyone who will listen. For me, this has become a new and very satisfying life mission.
If you d like to learn more, I invite you to click on the URL below, where you will be able to get a free, 35-page e-book entitled The Ten Deadly Health Myths of the 21st Century. This highly informative book provides a great deal of additional information about glyconutrition and wellness in general. You will also be able to learn about a number of different glyconutritional products.
If you accept my invitation, I hope that your healing journey will be as exciting and as fulfilling as mine has been.
