Observers books and
me...
About me I have been collecting
Observer books for some Six years or so, the usual reason I used to have a few
as a kid (can`t reccolect what happend to them), and then I went to a car boot
sale one day and picked a couple up that I had previously. Well that was it im
hooked. I like the topics covered i.e. Aircraft, Automobiles, Railway locos,
Birds, the related natural history and the higher laminates such as vintage
cars.I can`t say im over impressed with kitchean antiques or some of the more
modern editions, including the much sought after world atlas. .What a poor bok
that is| it does`nt even fit right on the bookshelf. I have since expanded my
interests to Frederick Warne material in general incorporating nature rambles,
tales of the woodland, and the wonderfull Tales of the wildfolk by Cecily M
Rutley.Plus books illustrated by Kate Greenaway, L. Leslie Brookes and Randolph
Caldecot. Being a sport and hobby fan I also collect the recreation series
issued in the 1930`s. |
