New Year message from Howard Thompson, Friends Secretary

Howard ThompsonWell, 2002 proved a massive step forward for the troubled - but treasured - Caves of Crowborough. Indeed, this time last year I would not have been able to have communicated to you like this, as this website did not even exist.

As you all know by now, the Friends of the Caves of Crowborough (FotCoC) were founded in January 2002. We are all united in our attempts to re-open the long-forgotten Caves to the public.

Our attempts thus far have accelerated with the recent BBC feature of our plight. This excellent piece has already helped increased the Friends' membership to figures of 300. Everyone is welcome to join our campaign - there is no membership fee, and one can be as active (or inactive) a Friend as one wishes.

With your help, perhaps we can make 2003 the year that the Caves are finally re-opened.

Best wishes,

Howard T.

If you would like to join the Friends of the Caves of Crowborough, please send an email to Friends Assistant Secretary, William Chipton.
