Meetings are held in Borders on Davygate, York (map) at 7pm on the third Wednesday of each month.
These are for writers in the York area to meet and have an opportunity to get feedback from one another on their writing, as well as to find inspiration and have fun.

The Writers’ Forum Poetry Prize is an ongoing competition run by Writers' Forum, a glossy magazine containing advice for writers. Entries, which can be on any subject, should be unpublished and no more than 40 lines.
The closing date is the 15th of each month. Entries arriving too late for one competition will be entered in the next.
There is a £5 entry fee per poem, or £7 for two.
Prizes:
1st - £100
2nd, 3rd - £25
Winning entries published in the mag.

BBC Talent Showcase has a panel of judges who each week pick the best of the work submitted that week and showcase it on the website for people to rate and review. Any art-form can be entered.
So far, the talent showcased has included singing, poetry, a children's story, magic tricks and photography. To find out more, visit the BBC Talent Showcase webpages.
