Connie Fautley - BACP Accredited Counsellor (MBACP Accred), Advanced Diploma in Professional Integrative Counselling
About Counselling...
As an Integrative Counsellor I draw on many different counselling theories and ways of working in order to meet your needs as an individual. My aim is to be present for you in a way that is non-judgmental and accepting and feels safe as we explore your issues together. I believe we all have the potential within us for both growth and finding the way ahead given the right conditions.
We grow to know ourselves more fully when we are in touch with the whole of ourselves: mind, emotions, body, energy and even spirit; and within the context of a relationship. In counselling this relationship is boundaried and needs to feel safe.
I also believe that past relationships have a huge impact on our patterns of relating and being in the world now. We can become aware of stuck patterns and explore ways of changing within the safety of the counselling relationship.
I enjoy working creatively (and Gestalt), but am sensitive to your individual preferences.
About my experience...
In addition to my Private Practice at home, I have worked in a variety of settings in the voluntary sector: a GP Surgery, Mind Counselling Service, a Women's Centre, Manna Counselling Service and Release Counselling (ongoing).
I do not have experience or training working with children or teenagers (under 18's) and therefore only see adults aged 18 and over.
Counselling is useful for...

Duration and Frequency of sessions
Sessions are for 50 minutes, on a weekly basis. Weekly meeting is important to allow the continuity of a relationship of trust and enables you to gain the most benefit.
I offer both short-term counselling (usually a minimum of 6 - 12 sessions) and open-ended counselling.
First meeting...
Making a first appointment does not commit you to continuing. The first session will give you an idea of whether you feel I will meet your needs. If you wish to continue I will suggest booking a further 5 sessions and then reviewing.
Fees
My current fee is £35 per 50 minute session.
I also have a number of spaces for those on low incomes and am open to seeing you if the full fee is not affordable.
Location
My Practice is located in New Malden, Surrey: 5- 8 minutes walk from the railway station, with parking available outside.
