'LAGIK' OWNERS FAIL TO RESPOND

Solicitors representing the owners of the Antiguan registered cargo vessel `Lagik' - L&L Shipping GMBH of Wischhafen in Germany failed to respond within the time frame to a Direction to agree a salvage plan for the ship from the Secretary of States Representative for Maritime Salvage and Intervention (SOSREP) Robin Middleton.

Mr. Middleton met yesterday with the local authority to ensure that plans for the removal of the wreck and threat of pollution continue with minimum delay.
