I'm reviewing the consitution
I'm too sexy for my chair
Where did it all go wrong!
Who want's to be a son & hier
Whose next...
Remember it well
How many times, ching ching

I'm reviewing the constitution
Sang by Robin Cook, Feb 2002

I've still got a role, haven't I?
Every peer has a goal, have'nt they, haven't I?
Though my days at the foreign and commonwealth office are through
I'm greatfull that Tony has given my something to do

I'm reviewing, the constitution
were going to change it soon
no ifs or buts
an updated, institution
on reform of it I'll stake my ginger nuts

Postively we must adjust
we need to gain the publics trust
so they can keep an eye on us
But then they'll start to spy on us
and spy and cause alot of fuss
expose the blinking lot of us

I think I better think it out again

I still make my name anyway
fifteen minutes of fame anyway
If Lord Irving's reforms are dismissed as a meaningless stunt
I'm a man with a plan that makes me look less like a creep

I'm reviewing, the situation
we've alot of labour vocals, city balls
I admit that, theres a temptation
to include them in a new Low key house of Lords

We can't keep on selecting them
If people start electing them
The bourages we sold to them
would never have a hold on them
althogh the system might be fair
It won't appeal to Tony Blair

I think I better think it out again
