I went to see Monica Wol (now in her ninety-fifth year) and asked her if she would write this little introductory piece. She has so many memories of Crispin to share with us. Unfortunately she became irritated with me and she chased me away with her stick. I visited Cora de Lisle (who was with Crispin until fifteen years before his death) but she set her big dog on me. So in the end I have taken it on myself to select these links for your entertainment and education. It's a lot more than you deserve, really. I used to be Professor of Logic at Antwerp Poly technical College until that story in the English tabloids. It wasn't true. I should be so lucky! If Michelle Pfeiffer, Madonna and Brad Pitt were having a night out in Brussels they'd hardly invite me, would they?

Most of the following websites have been developed by Crispin fans. Some of them aren't as well constructed as they might be, but although you should not expect too much in the way of exciting graphics and stuff like that I assure you it will be worth the effort. Well, they can't be any less interesting than most of the links you find on your average home page, can they? Sorry, I'm getting morose again. Heroes of the Twentieth Century : a stunning piece of collaboration this, by Percy Stubbins of Bristol and Yoyo Makuko of Tokyo. Worth visiting just for the picture of Crispin and his desk. Crispin Shelworthy's Enigma Page : Lois Larousse of Segue City in Hawaii has written several poems, but luckily they're not included here. Bill's Page : the title says it all. Bill's page is no more and no less what it says. Bill's page. My Name is Legend: the students of Mr Goudonov's English class at Vladivostok Junior High put their own special slant on Crispin's story through the medium of dance. Special guest appearances by Bruce Springsteen, Ulrika Johnsson and Oliver Lodge. Crispin - the Official Home Page : this is NOT the Official Home Page. It is very clever, with some brilliant graphic effects but since it takes almost five hours to load, I haven't yet taken a close look at it. Keep trying Wayne! The Dusty Springfield Home Page : a very odd choice for this page of links since it has nothing whatsoever to do with Crispin Shelworthy. Good pix of the Pet Shop Boys, though! Crispin's Sex Life : Monica Wol features in several interesting pictures on this site. There's a good section about Arthur Stapleton's problems with his skin, as well. Not for the squeamish. The Gillian Anderson Fan Club : it is nothing of the sort, of course. And if you're still here, I admire your perseverance, and your sense of humour. If you discover that any of these links are broken or do not seem to be correct in any other way, please contact Humphrey Pyles. He will be entirely incapable of doing anything about it. |
