As strange as it may seem, for a couple that almost never goes out we do have one or two friends, and believe me it is only one or two. Both Vi and I agree that we are each others Best Friend's (AHHH!)
I couldn't write this page without a mention of Gary Brown. I have known him since school (Ravenscroft), we were in the same class. It was he and his then girlfriend Janet Giles that got Vi and I together.
He was then my Best Man at our wedding and although he has now moved to Cyprus, we do see him now and again. Gary has had a varied life, mainly working for him self, doing just about everything. He used to run his own business, supplying vehicles for the TV and film industry. He has worked on TV shows like London’s Burning, Hale and Pace and films like Evita, 101 Dalmatians and more recently 28 Days.
Some times he is even required to appear in some scenes. He drove the police car in London’s Burning, in the scene where Billy Ray got arrested. In the opening scenes of Disney's 101 Dalmatians he is the Milkman that drives the Milkfloat. His only failing is his blindness to other football teams out side of Arsenal FC and Barnet FC, but then we can't all be perfect (like what I is!)
One of Vi's best friends is our neighbour Louise Moody who it must be said is a good few years older than us. Yet in spite or maybe because of that reason Vi and Louise get on very well. In fact it is Louise that I lent my Amiga 500 to (see Hobbies page), so she could type out her letters and family tree notes. Vi and Louise both like gardening, Cats, Birdwatching and postcards (again see Hobbies page).
Another of Vi’s friends is Rachel Todd who is the daughter of a lady who sadly died a while ago and was Vi’s best friend at Sainsbury’s. Since their mothers death Rachel and her sister Sam have become very close to Vi.
Below there is a photo of picture of Vi with Rachel.
