Blake's 7 Top Of The Pops!

Now then now then, guys and gals...

Jimmy Saville here (yes I know I've put on weight!), and I've had lots of letters recently saying "Dear Jim. Please can you fix it for someone to shoot Tarrant, or for us to have a bit of that Eighties poptastic magic on Callyfornia". So, what we have here, for you lovely ladies and gentlemen, is none other than - gasp - the Blake's 7 Eighties TOTP Top Ten! All those fantastic hits from the decade that never went out of style, but did go a bit wrong once Kylie got in the charts. How's about that then! (Rattle rattle, jewelry jewelry...)

And here's Kid Jensen and John Peel
with the countdown...

(Click on the pictures below for full story and pix!)

In at Number TEN, those weird and wonderful lads from Leeds Soft Cell, with Sex Dwarf. Oo-er, better hope Mike Reid doesn't ban it all the way to Number One!
A non-mover at Number NINE for strange American Midwest futurists Devo, with the Stone's cover (I can't get no) Satisfaction. Those wacky student bands, tsk!
Down to this week's Number EIGHT, they were with Wham, now they've gone Bam! Pepsi and Shirlie drop two places with Heartache. Was it something they ate Kid, ha-ha!
A non-mover at Number SEVEN, the short-tongued siren of punk Toyah, and It's A Mystery. She'll be the special guest on Friday's The Little and Large Show - make a note!
Up an amazing nine places to Number SIX, and still looking for those young soul rebels, it's dog-on-a-bit-of-string beatsters Dexy's Midnight Runners with Come on Eileen!
You know the dance, it's a new entry at Number FIVE for the Max Factor maestros Adam and the Ants with Kings of the Wild Frontier.
Down two places to Number FOUR, he's got the scariest collars in pop since Roy Wood; it's Doctor and the Medics with Spirit in the Sky.
Up one to Number THREE, Glaswegian Goth goddesses of polka-dot pop Strawberry Switchblade, and Since Yesterday. PVC and ripped tights - ooh Gary Davis!
A non-mover for the second week at Number TWO, they don't smile and they don't move; the Pet Shop Boys ask What Have I Done to Deserve This?
And still at Number ONE for the third week running, the mall rock queen of the charts Tiffany, and I Think We're Alone Now. Will she make it four weeks in a row? Tune in next week to find out!

Bubbling under...bubbling under... Steven 'Tin Tin' Duffy - Kiss Me with your mouth, (then shoot me Avon)... It Bites - Calling all the Heroes (to get shot)... The Lotus Eaters - The First Picture of You (was in a holding cell on Cygnus Alpha)... Man 2 Man & Man Parish - I Was a Male Stripper in a Go-Go bar (after Season 4 ended)...
