Ebonys Story

Hello there may I introduce my self, my name is Ebony and I was born January 1994 and here is my story.
I did come to this family at the age of 1.5 years young, by then I already had 3 different homes,
never mind the time in between in rescue kennels.
So when my new family came to the kennel looking for a dog and chose me ,
they were told I am destructive and would do a runner at the first sign of freedom.
Hey every dog likes to dig up the garden and i have done a runner once in a while ...
but they did not mind about that and I came home with them.
Once I got to my new home I was so happy that I forgot my manners,
jumping around on the furniture, trying to get food from the table and things, behaving more like a puppy than an adult
... but there is a puppy in all of us I guess.
With that we did go and see Chaz Worrall a “Dog Training Instructor” with me, that was cool ,
because I did learn how to understand the humans better. I only needed a few sessions ... arn't I a clever dog.
Oh' I nearly forgot there was this rabbit called ”Bunny” living in our back garden who I did love chasing,
but once she stopped running away from me it got boring and I left her alone. Sadly she died in early 1999.
About 6 month after i got to this family , a lump started developing under my belly and my humans took me to see the vet.
Who did decide to operate and send it off for further tests but to my luck it came back as harmless,
just water collecting in my body tissue.
Phew just as well as another lump is starting to grow and as long as it don't worry me I don't have to go under the knife again.
The following summer after the lump I got poorly again., can't remember what it was but I did not want to drink for days and felt horrible.
So off to the vet I was again but this time I had to stay in hospital for about 3 days and be put on a drip. I was glad when I got back home.
Time went by where nothing much happened ,
besides the normal things a dog gets up to, like eating, sleeping, playing and learning some new tricks
... hey I can Limbo dance now.
The next thing that did happen I got separation anxiety,
which meant i was so upset when left alone I did leave nice presents for my humans.
So after some trial and error I did get a cage.
Where I go in when l have to be left on my own ... finally a “room” all to my little self .... great.
Years 2000 came and with that the first cat, Holly, and then in June 2000 if not one cat was bad enough she had kittens.
Even did play Nanny to the little Critters when Holly had taken ill. But Bubble and Squeak can tell you that better.
When my humans do go on holiday I go and stay with Simona , Mark and kids , who do have 6 cats, a bunny and a guinea pig.
I like it there as the kids do take me for walks and there is a big garden to play in.
Now I do not know anymore to type but will let you know about new things when they happen.
