Is it just me or are most of this month's movies sequels? Anyways, it's time for another poll. biggrin.gif Which forum movie is the best this month? Only YOU can decide. I still won't vote this time, but it isn't because I can't decide.

Well, that might be part of the reason...

Anyways, will it be the sequel to last year's winner, and one of the highest-rated movies in the VOW Review Station, The Trial of TDK?

Or perhaps Night of the Living Deathray, the sequel to Day of the Penguin which takes almost as much time to read as it did for me to get around to making it?

Or maybe, it's the second parts(I'm sensing a pattern here) of Administrator or Heavengames:Total War, neither of which did very well in the reviews.

Or perhaps, it's Drunken Bottle Productions(you know, they make TMPC)'s first movie, General Fear and the Army of the Seventh Bird?

I don't really care as long as more than 7 people vote... C'mon, free doughnuts! FREE DOUGHNUTS! FREE!

Well, 7 people voted in the last poll. Would've been 8 if I'd voted. And quite a few peole voted in the ambassador poll even though it was in the secret forum.

Crap, that's the second time I've mentioned the secret forum outside of the secret forum tonight. And I'm pretty sure we're not supposed to mention the secret...

Disregard my previous statement. The BTOOIC does NOT have a secret forum, it is NOT members-only, and definately NOT called the 'dark sewer hideout'!

except, of course, for the secret forum...

No, but the idea of the poll is to vote for whichever movie you think is the best. Which is why I didn't vote at all.

Add an "I don't watch the movies" voting option, and you might get more votes. Watching the movies are time-consuming for the crowd who doesn't stay in the forum but just drops in. Like I do.smile.gif

Good question...

Excellent in fact...

It's a wondrous, fabulous, zip-zoop-zabulous question!

j/k(who can guess where that line is from?)

Seeing as I've already reviewed most of this month's movies, and for the most part, I agree with the reviews I haven't written, so there's no reason for me to write about them...

Ah yes, I suppose the results will be official right about...

...

NOW!

I wish there was a way to tell who voted... then I'd know who not to spam for the next poll

QUOTE
Night of the Living Deathray  [22.22%]
General Fear and the Army of the Seventh Bird [22.22%]
The Trial of TDK [44.44%]
Administrator part 2  [0.00%]
Heavengames: Total War part 2  [11.11%]

The Trial of TDK wins! It will recieve the 'popular' award in the Review Station.
And TDK gets more bragging rights.

I might not have a reason to write about our contestants, but I still have an excuse to predict the future of forum movies. But first, lets see if last month's predictions were right...

I predicted that General Fear would make the poll one-sided and get more people to vote. The poll wasn't really one-sided, and I don't really know if it got more people to vote or if it was just my constant spamming of various threads. I'm going to say I was wrong here.

But I also said the competition would be closer this time, which it was. General Fear and NOTLD(Night of the Living Deathray, deathray is one word), both did well(for this poll, two votes is a lot) and I predicted that I didn't know who would win, and I was right at that. Next, I'll predict new stuff, but right now I have to do something else.

I hate to say it, but I think the forum movie industry is slowing down again. None of the upcoming movies on the cinemas' lists have no release date(no, soon is not specific enough to count). There has been no more word of a new Merry Jester Studios movie, production of Day of the Penguin III is going along at a snail's pace at best, and I have yet to get a reply from Comp regarding Administrator part 3, or the other movie developers in the Comp Cinema. Heavengames:TW part 3 could be released this month, but if it isn't any different from the first two parts, it won't really matter(sorry KK:(). And on top of that, KK seems to have disappeared...

General Fear part 2 could be released this month, but Pickles hasn't said anything other than wanting to space the parts out, or something. And Neo has two upcoming movies(is that right? I There's two on the list). He's currently working on the ending of The Thing(one of said two movies), and on a new name for it. However I haven't heard anymore about it.

Anyways, I think people are starting to lose interest in the forum movies they're making. However, people must still be interested in watching them, since we got more votes on this poll than the last one. I think forum movies will be fading away for a while, just like they did after forum politics were abolished. At least, I don't remember any that came inbetween then and the more recent ones.

Anyways, we need new forum movies to renew interest, and revitalize the industry. We need movies that pioneer new ground, do things that no other movie has done before. Like the original Day of the Penguin was the first to use game sprites and screenshots(I think it was anyways, I definately don't remember anyone using screenshots before then). And I'm looking for a site to upload my own pictures on, like I originally planned for Day of the Penguin II. And I must mention The Trial of TDK for having the best ending ever. This could be because a lot of movies nowadays don't so much end as they do say 'to be continued'. IMO, this has to stop. Sequels are fine, but if a movie is more than one part, they should all be released consecutively as one movie(ala both DOTPs, and Merry Jester Studios' movies in the BTOOIC cinema). Anyways, I've been typing for long enough, and I think I've lost the point I was trying to make, so I'm just going to shut up now.

I thought there would be a Drunk Knight Show today. I was waiting for that.

Alright, lets see...

(question the first)So, how does it feel to have one the Movie of the Month award twice?

(question the second)As you know, sooner or later Pickles should get around to posting the final TMPC. What do you think of this(no more TMPC), and do you plan to keep making The Drunk Knight Show?

(question the third)I assume we can expect more forum movies from Merry Jester Studios(with your current record and all), but many of us are wondering what comes next after Revolution. I seem to recall you saying we'd have to wait 'till December for an original movie, any hints as to what this original movie may be? And will the 'HG-A Satire' series continue after Revolution?

(question the fourth)did Radio BTOOIC really hire a vampire, or was he just temporary?

(question the fifth)what do you think about custom-made and uploaded images for forum movies?
