Africans in England before the English

Africans & their descendents have been in Britain from the time of the Romans. Hadrians wall was defended by African troops called Moors (Numerous Maurorum Aurelianorum, name after a Emperor) or Blacker-Moores. They originally came from North Africa & were stationed in Aballava near Carlisle. The Romans kept records of their troops in a Notitia Dignitatum, which is an officical register for the Roman administration system. Also there was writing found at Beaumount near Burgh in 1934 on a third century altar. Traces of Africans after the Romans left have been found all over the British isles. Remains of an Africian girl were found in a burial ground dated 1000 at North Elmham in Norfolk.
