2005 Yearplanner and Programme available, updated following December Squad Weekend.

JWOC 2005
JWOC2005 JWOC 2005 is in Tenero, in the southern Italian speaking part of Switzerland, 11 - 17 July 2005.
Bulletins are available here and maps here. There are spectator races this time, a 5 day event, so come and support the team! With all the girls and 2 lads from JWOC 2004 having a chance to run again, things could get even more exciting than this year!!

Relay Gold, Classic Gold and Two Silvers and Sprint Silver Medals at the Junior European Cup!Winning Relay Team!
Congratulations to the men's relay team, Chris Sellens, Mark Nixon and GG, who gained GOLD at the European Cup in an amazing sprint finish.
Also congrats to Scott for his silver in the sprint, Mark Nixon for his Gold in the classic and Mhairi and GG for their silvers in the classic.
Other notable performances came from Duncan Coombs and Ruth Holmes, both of whom were representing GB for the first time at this level.

First ever medal at JWOC - Alison gets BRONZE in the classic!!Alison's Classic Bronze
This year was one of the most successful JWOCs ever not only for individual results but also for the whole team.
In the short race, Alison produced a fantastic run to finish on the podium in 4th place, just 10 seconds off a medal!
Mhairi also had a great run to finish 7th, and GG finished 11th which was less than 30 seconds behind a podium place, with Scott finishing 24th!
In the classic, Alison excelled further to finish in BRONZE position - the first ever medal at JWOC.
Other excellent results came from Cerys in 20th, Mhairi in 21st and GG in 26th. Cerys' result is particularly impressive as this is her first time at JWOC.
Overall, GBR finished a fantastic 7th in the Nations Cup, improving on last year's 10th place and showing how strong the team was this year.

British Junior Elite Champs and Future Champs Final
Congratulations to Mhairi and GG who won the title of British Junior Elite Champions at the weekend.
Particular congrats to Lizzie Adams for two superb runs which guaranteed her place at JWOC.
Races in the Forest of Dean were also the last in the FCC series which was won by GG and Alison in the 20s and Cerys and Scott in the 18s.

Scotland wins SHIs!!
Scotland pulled off a great win at the tough and wet Trossachs and Barr Wood last weekend, with star runs from EUOC and Squad members.
Congratulations to Scott and Alison who won the junior classes.

Top performances at the Spring Cup!!
In the Classic, best positions were Mhairi's 4th and Alison's 20th in D20E, Cerys' 8th and Helen's 11th in D18E and Oleg's 5th and Scott's 7th in H18E.
In the Night race, Mhairi was 2nd and Cerys 6th in D20E, Oleg was 5th and Mark Nixon 9th in H20E.
The most notable run in the relay came from Scott on first leg, who at the spectator control was only 30secs behind the leader, Jamie Stevenson, and finished just 2 minutes behind.

The Squad then went onto Nybro, S. Sweden for an excellent training camp with the Seniors.
