Unscrewed

Unscrewed
Oh baby,
I did,
I placed my hands against that maw,
Between tusks and meat...
And held it open
That wet tongue shinning in the sun
My hair was plastered flat
And a gurgle floats like music
From the deep belly of an old church,
Lost and bent in a cavern
Of arches
And shadow
And still I step inside
Thinking I know better
