I DREAMED THE DREAM  

I dreamed the dream of a once lost youth
In my dream I, didn't know you
From this dream I, couldn't wake
You said "it's time to go away"
In my dream you showed the way
You took me back in the stream of time
I, saw a child run undisturbed
In this world hate is unheard
From this dream do not disturb

In this world life bloomed everywhere
Music from harps filled the air
I, hear your voice calling me back
Please, let me go to this world of mine
And leave this old one behind
In this world I've nothing but time
All the people are free
Happiness abound, real love I've found
Set me free to this life of peace

In my dream there are no walls
No mountains to climb
The only crime is eternal time
A world filled with love, blessed from above
Life is sublime, supremely divine

When you come to this world of real life
You'll see the things I, dreamed about
No matter what age you remain in your youth
No cries, fear or pain
Dying, a thin of the past
No war the whole world at peace
The people spread from sea to sea
This was my dream and now it's real
Let me sleep the sleep that give release
