Its Me again. Another most flattering picture....The four members of our group that could make it (other two were at Stonehenge) arrived at the beach at 3.30 a.m. just to be sure we were in time to see dawn break. We come here every year, as other local pagans tend to use the larger neighboring beaches, and this is always deserted, providing a wonderful meditative atmosphere. The clouds broke just enough to allow us to see the burning orb of the sun to show through.....We did a small ritual to welcome the sun, and offered a libation, and John `sang` up the sun with his Didgeridoo! We also decided on the spur of the moment to go to Burgh Castle ruins to watch the Sun set....whilst there, we enacted the battle of the Holly and the Oak, in which my poor other half got his butt whooped, as I was Hollly, and we did it with swords.....say no more!!!! Those pics are further that way...-> All in all, it was a wonderful day. Note from Vladdy... As you can see I'm not in any of the pictures. That's because I got to take them all. but don't worry we will have a tripod in future events so I will get in some pics. I took over 2 hundred pictures on the day and chose just a few to put on the website. if you want any in larger format for wallpapers. email wytch_world@hotmail.com and I will send you any you want. Ps I let her win really. But I didn't say that *cowers in the corner from Amazon Warrior Phoenix* Gulp!!!!! Run away.. Run away... BB Vlad and Phoe... I have now sorted out the sunset pictures. Click on Solstice Sunset at the bottem of the page and it will take you to a new page which works now!!!..

21st of June. We went to watch the sunrise at Gorleston beach, which is on the east coast. We were fortunate enough to see the sun rise. There were only a few people at the beach, unlike the 20 thousand or so people who turned up at Stonehenge. According to two of our group who were there, the spiritual atmosphere was disturbed, as most of the people didn't know about summer solstice and were there because of a rave the night before that had taken place somewhere close by. On the way to the beach, we saw a hare running ahead of us, at sunset we saw a barn owl and a tawny owl, more rabbits and a squirrel! not to mention the suicidal hedgehog which we had to swerve to miss. I felt very honoured that they had blessed us with their presence.
