Etymology: Unk Synonyms: Alestes longipinnis, Bryconalestes longipinnis First European import:1928 Description: See pictures Care: Due to the size of the fish and the fact that they constantly swim, a large tank is required to keep Brycinus longipinnis.Otherwise the fish are peacefull, and show their best colors if kept in a well lit tank with a dark soil. Waterchemistry is of minor importance, although monhly waterchanges should be conducted, and the water should be well filtered. Temperature:22-26 degrees Feeding:Omnivorous, all food is accepted.
