Pot Noodles
In my age old quest for the ultimate pot noodle, I have stumbled upon a great treasure: Nong Shim pot noodles. Not only do these taste better than any pot noodle I've ever tasted, but they also come in bowl size, i.e. bowl noodles! If you ever see these in your local supermarket, my advice is to snap them up right-away.Automotive
In October 2003, look out for the Nissan 350Z, a two-seater sports coupé with a 3.5L V6 engine, generating 286 bhp, which takes it from 0 - 60mph in 6 seconds. A nicely understated car with a lot under the bonnet and being a Nissan it should have all of the benefits of a sports coupé coupled with good reliability. Rumour has it that it will have a really good sound system too. Have a look for yourself on this american site: http://www.my350z.com.[Update: 23Jun04] The 350Z is now in the UK and is going down a storm. Check it out at this UK fan site: http://350zuk.com/index.php. Also take a butchers at what Nemesis Performance have done to their 350Z.
Wilderness Survival
Boiled Cleavers (Galium Aparine). You know those sticky little plants that stick to your clothes? If you boil them up, they are supposed to make a delicious and nutritious meal. I haven't tried them yet myself, but I have just purchased a mess kit for my camping stove and will try this recipe before the summer is out. I'll just add some soup stock and it should be a lovely consommé!Culinary
There's no food more heart-warming on a winter's morning than a nice bowl of porridge with a good helping of wholesome milk and a sprinkling of sugar. However, I stumbled upon a variation on the theme one morning when I was feeling hungry but, didn't want something sweet tasting. Porridge and Bovril! Fantastic! It sounds a bit strange but in my opinion it is an excellent savoury alternative to the normal sugar and milk. I have eaten this many times and am still here to tell the tale.
