alexamulchinock was originally called alex_mulchinock, when in September 2000 my friends and I decided to create a website. We each created one of our own on freewebs.com and soon lost interest after a few months of hard work. We were stupid enough to think that all you needed to create a website was a computer and some basic knowledge of html. But we soon found out that to create a .com address we would have to pay for it and, to maintain a freewebs.com address was like trying to stop a damn from bursting with an umbrella. A few months later, I decided to get back into website building - after recently hearing about whitepoo.com. I originally visited the site for fun- and ended up getting in trouble with the webmaster Jay for putting offensive content on his guestbook (which I didn't mean, I misread a reply from him to another user and took offence on it thinking it was for me) A few weeks past of petty insulting, when I decided to apologise to Jay. After I did, we began to give each other tips on web-mastering. Jay being the more experienced one, was obviously giving me more help than I could give back in return. After a while on freewebs.com, I began to get board of the plain backgrounds and lame-ass graphics. So I called on Jay to help.

The holy grail....

I asked Jay for a copy of the guestbook code that he uses on whitepoo.com. It turned out that I needed to change web-host for the guestbook to work, so I moved to Lycos.co.uk. And thus alexamulchinock was born!. I was surprised to find that everything on Lycos was fully automated! I didn't need to ask special permission to have an extra page added - because it went 1MB outside of the bandwidth! Lycos allowed me more space and thus more room to be creative. Unfortunately- the initial idea of the guestbook was brought to a halt, when I decided to make my own forum. Using PHPBB. But the host of the forum was attacked by hackers and - thus the board was deleted. Now four years later, I'm changing the site feel again! Using a template I downloaded from f-designs.net, It is so unbelievably good looking! So I will probably keep this design of website!
