AUSTRALIA/NEW ZEALAND TO RECIEVE GREATEST HITS PACKAGE

Sunday, 27th July, 1999. Polygram Records Australia has revealed that Australia and New Zealand will recieve the Greatest Hits package, which is also being released in North America. If all goes well, they will then release album 4, which is being recorded now!

CECILIA RELEASED IN ITALY

Sunday, 27th July, 1999. To the suprise of many AoB fans worldwide, and Polydor Germany, Many Records, AoB's Italian record company has released Cecilia as a single. It contains 3 tracks (1/ Cecilia (Ole Evenrude Version) 2/ Cecilia (Old Evenrude Radio Mix) 3/ Cecilia (In Da Nite Mix)). Polydor Germany says it has no plans to follow suit, but here's hoping anyway!

ADVENTURES IS BACK!

Sunday, 27th July, 1999. But with a new name, and a slightly new look! This site, which you used to know as ADVENTURES IN PARADISE: The 100% Australian Ace of Base Site is now known as Ace Republic: the australian ace of base site. I've also fixed up the graphics, which were taking a helluva long time to load, and their now much better quality as well!

EVERYTIME IT RAINS NEXT SINGLE FOR EUROPE?

Sunday, 19th April, 1999. The current Ace of Base single in the UK is Everytime It Rains, but it seems that the Danish radio network 'The Voice' has got a hold of the single, and it is now on their playlist!
The release of Cecilia may be postponed while Polydor (Germany) contemplate whether to release Everytime It Rains as the next single in Europe.

ACE of BASE DONATE LIFE IS A FLOWER

Sunday, 18th April, 1999. A U.S. organisation has asked Ace of Base to donate a song for a promo video of the work they do in Africa. The organisation's name is Habitat for Humanity International.
Mega Scandinavia, Ace of Base's Scandinavian record company has chosen the song Life Is A Flower, even though it was never released in the US!

ACE of BASE REVEAL NEW DEMOS FOR ALBUM 4

Friday, 16th April, 1999. Ace of Base are already well underway on the production of their fourth, yet to be named, album.
Today, they are meeting with representatives from Mega Scandinavia to show them the 14-odd demo songs they have produced for A4. Results will be posted on the AIP News Page as soon as possible, although the finalised songs won't be played to the public until at least the end of '99.

MEGA SCANDINAVIA REP REVEALS FLOWER POWER!

Friday, 16th April, 1999. Claes Cornelius, representative for Mega Scandinavia has revealed that Flowers, AoB's third album, has sold a (running) total of 1.8 million units! He also said:
"... disappointing for some but still constitutes what most artists dream of selling. Sales of singles have been good, leading also to an amazing number of compilations in Europe. "
A PolyGram Australia representative has told me personally that in Australia, Flowers has [so far] broken the 20,000 units mark, which is overwhelming considering the 'poor' sales of the "Cruel Summer" single.

UK RELEASE DATE FOR FLOWERS INTERNATIONAL POSTPONED AGAIN

Friday, 16th April, 1999. The release date for Flowers International A.K.A. Flowers 2 in the UK has been postponed again. Release date is now 26th April.
