This is the Witchfield Web Site

Don't expect too many fancy graphics (but there are some pictures, if you look hard enough). This site is aimed mainly at providing information. A full site map is on the Contents page.

Some of the information on this site is my own perception of things. I accept that I may biased, badly informed or just plain wrong, but I'll consider any updates or corrections that I am sent. Pointers to further material about Caddington would be appreciated so that I can add more links. Minor edits may happen without warning, but most recent changes of substance will be dated, the most recent ones with dates in red.

Information about the village of Caddington is available. In 2002 I added the weather pages based on the nearby amateur weather station in Slip End.

Some family tree information is available for the Bell, Godfrey and Currant families which were all local. There is also a surname ordered index for those families and for families from further afield.

A page is dedicated to interesting UK number plates. I have seen most of these in the Luton area, but some are from further afield.

Besides a page of X.25 facts that I put together, I have two pirated pages that show interesting effects. The first is a Javascript clock (move the mouse around!), the second is a Javascript mindreading trick.

I have some links to web sites that I find interesting.

Comments/corrections for this site may be sent to for my attention. Note that this email address may change, so don't bother saving it in an address book. I'll change it here.

The background music on this page (whether you can hear it or not) is a folk tune called Newcastle. You will probably be glad to know that it is only on this page and only plays once!

There are copies of this site at Tiscali and Tripod.
