The "History of Naphill" exhibition was held on 29 January 2000 and due to popular demand, was repeated on 21 October 2000, on 20 September 2003 and on on 11 June 2005 at the fete. See below for a report. It has been such a successful that by popular demand it will be repeated again at this year’s fete on 9 June 2007.
The 2007 fireworks display this year was held on 3 November and was the best yet. We spent £3,000 on the fireworks and they were fantastic, well worth every penny. The crowd was even bigger than last year, the BBQ sold out providing 1,200 hot-dogs and hamburgers along with mulled wine, soup and cold drinks. The bar was sold out will 3 barrels of beer and countless cans of lager. Estimates put the crowd at 2,500.
The 2008 Village fete was be held on 7 June 2008 and for the second year in succession we had our very own air display. A triple flypast by a Spitfire and a Hurricane of the RAF Battle of Britain Memorial Flight. Fantastic. How many other fetes can do that ?
The 2008 fireworks display will be held on Saturday 1 November 2008 and we will be supported by the RAF again, as for the last 2 years.
The Christmas Fayre will be held on 6 December 2008.
